What does a Power of Attorney do?

Limits on a Power of Attorney

Although a power of attorney document confers certain legal powers, the document cannot satisfy all legal conditions. For example, if one becomes incapacitated, a court may establish a conservatorship over the person or estate. A conservatorship may be established either voluntarily or involuntarily to protect the interests of the person or estate it covers.
